Social Media Coordinator

Your Social Media Coordinator, Rea Dominguez:

Hello! I’m Rea, your social media coordinator. Many of you will already know me, or at least recognise my extremely happy Collie, Fidget. 

I joined the committee a year ago to help out with the social media. I do most of the Facebook posts (although if you ever spot a spelling mistake, that post was probably someone else ). I’m also the one snapping your podium photos! 

Fidget and I first started canicross when she was about 12 months old, just before Covid. Not long after, everything stopped and during that time I managed to get a broken hip…followed by a spine condition diagnosis just as we were allowed ‘out out’. Unfortunately that meant running was no longer an option for me.

By the summer of 2023 things had got to the point where I couldn’t even ride a bike (there wasn’t actually enough room between the seat and handlebars for me to get on and actually ride it).  Determined to change that, I worked hard, and by September, I could just about manage that…so entered Box End. It was incredibly tough with little to no fitness, but Fidget absolutely loved it…so there was no turning back!

Over the past three seasons, we’ve both put in the work, loved every second, and made huge progress together. And now, an exciting new chapter is just around the corner - I’ll soon be welcoming a purpose bred puppy into our lives and onto our journey!

I’m just as excited about where the club is heading as I am about my next chapter!
