Come and join our Series Finale at Catton Hall, Walton upon Trent, DE12 8LN

Entry will open on Friday 1st March 2024 at 5.30am and close automatically on Friday 15th March 2024 at midnight unless we hit capacity earlier, in which case entries will shut early.

You need to be signed into your website account to add products to your basket. Please enter slowly and carefully to avoid mistakes. If you are entering for a child or someone else, enter their details not yours! 

When entering, we ask you to enter your predicted time in the following format: Minutes:Seconds. Please do not enter text, numbers only. For example, a 20 minute run would be entered as 20:00.

 

Please ONLY tick the reactive dog box if you dog is actually reactive. Anyone who ticks this box is agreeing to race in a high visibility top which states 'reactive', 'needs space', or words to that effect.

This venue is a mixture of woodland and open field trails, with a selection of hilly challenges. 

The venue has the following facilities:-

  • Portable toilets
  • Portable showers
  • Chemical toilet disposal point
  • Rubbish skip

There is no electric hook up but generators are permitted between 7am and 9pm. There will be on-site catering.

We'll have a range of activities and games in the afternoons for you and your dogs, plus a quiz on the Saturday evening.

The surrounding fields sometimes use bird scarers. If you dogs are noise sensitive, please be aware of this before entering. 

This event will have Bikejor, Scooter and Canicross. Camping will be available on site.

Long course is approximately 5k. Short course and Novice is approximately 3k. Odds and Bods is approximately 1.5k

Racing is over four days and prizes given for the best combined times for the weekend. For the Friday and Monday all course distances are stepped down to the next shortest distance, however points are based on the class entered not the distance covered. Organisers reserve the right to shorten course distance depending in weather conditions, based on animal welfare and safety grounds.

Please note

  • You need to race Saturday and Sunday, and either Friday or Monday to be in the running for a weekend podium placing. So you need to race 3 days.
  • Mondays racing can count towards the weekends results, but will not count towards the series points. Series points are available on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

T-shirts

All entrants will receive a free Series Finale t-shirt. It is one per person, please check out the sizes below and select the correct size when entering. If you are entering more than one class, you'll need to enter your t-shirt size each time although you'll only receive one on the day. Anyone entering after the 1st March will not be able to pre-order a specific size.

10. Catton - Have a Go Bikejor

Want to try bikejoring but not sure where to start? Book a taster session with Happy Canine Dog Training at Catton Hall race weekend, on Sunday 31st March at 4pm. You will need to meet at the Snowpaws trade stand. Rachel from Snowpaw Store will ensure your dog is fitted with a suitable harness and Cat at Happy Canine will guide you through the basics before taking you out on the course to practice the skills. At the end of the session Snowpaw will provide Mamut Recovery Drinks for the dogs to rehydrate and regenerate the dog’s muscles. A portion of the session cost will be donated to our nominated Charity Saints Sled Dog Rescue. To be able to add this product to your basket, make sure you sign into the website first.

8. Catton - Have a Go Canicross

An introduction have a go taster class to demonstrate and participate in canicross. Aimed at beginners who are new to running or new to canicross and are looking for a safe, fun, structured session to get themselves and their four legged running partner started in canicross. Taught by our positive reinforcement active dog specialist trainer - Cat Le Chevalier from Happy Canine. Starting right at the beginning with a bespoke kit fitting service for you and your dog from Snowpawstore, offering a broad range of kit brands to choose from. During this session you can expect an in depth discussion on what is canicross, a pre canicross warm up, a short walk/jog to understand your canicross running style, an introduction to canicross commands, what to expect of race day and a post canicross cool down including Mamut recovery drink. This session will take place at approx 5pm (time TBC) and you will meet at the Snowpaws Stand. To be able to add this product to your basket, make sure you sign into the website first.
